Cybersecurity Services for California Businesses
SiegePal provides cybersecurity services in California for SaaS companies and regulated businesses, with a priority on healthcare SaaS. We are a cybersecurity and AI engineering company based in San Diego. This page explains the work we do for California buyers, what each engagement produces, and how a project runs.
Our approach is hands-on. We assess configurations, code, and running infrastructure directly, and we can implement fixes when that is part of the agreed scope.

When California Teams Bring Us In
This page is for teams facing a concrete security demand. That might be an enterprise customer’s security questionnaire, an audit date, investor due diligence, or a cloud environment that grew faster than its controls.
The driver shapes the engagement. A customer questionnaire calls for evidence that controls work, while a fast-growing cloud account needs its access and configuration reviewed first.
Services for California SaaS and Regulated Teams
Three services address these situations. Each summary below links to the national service page with its full methodology.
Cloud Security Engineering
Cloud security engineering covers AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. We review IAM, network segmentation, encryption and key management, and logging against the live environment. Deliverables can include a cloud security posture report, an IAM strategy and federation blueprint, an encryption and key management plan, and security baseline configurations. The exact set depends on scope.
Penetration Testing
Penetration testing begins with documented rules of engagement covering targets, boundaries, authorized techniques, and testing windows. You receive an executive summary, technical findings with CVSS scoring, proof-of-concept evidence, and a prioritized remediation roadmap. After fixes, targeted retesting checks remediation and produces a retest validation report.
HIPAA and SOC 2 Readiness
For healthcare SaaS, HIPAA compliance work tests safeguards against live infrastructure rather than policy text. Deliverables include a risk assessment report, a gap analysis matrix with priority rankings, and a remediation roadmap.
SOC 2 readiness is a gap analysis against the Trust Services Criteria, with a control matrix and remediation roadmap. The audit and the SOC 2 report come from your chosen CPA firm, not from SiegePal.
Evidence From Delivered Work
Our security portfolio documents engagements with their actual scope. The examples below demonstrate relevant capabilities and do not imply California-based clients.
For a confidential enterprise cloud analytics platform, SiegePal ran a FedRAMP and PCI DSS gap assessment, verifying controls against live infrastructure. Where gaps were found, SiegePal implemented remediation directly within the platform.
For Aiperion, a government-facing AI platform, SiegePal audited against Washington State’s WaTech security standards. The team worked with Aiperion’s developers to resolve the findings, and a pre-go-live security sign-off was documented before agency onboarding.
How an Engagement Runs
Define the Work
A free 30-minute consultation establishes your priorities and the systems involved. For cloud architecture work, an initial review helps shape the proposal. Penetration testing requires defined targets, authorized techniques, and testing windows.
Arrange Secure Remote Access
We plan remote delivery around your environment and security requirements. From our secure working environment, we can connect through a virtual private network (VPN) or another approved access method. The required access and channels for sharing findings are agreed before work begins.
Assess and Follow Through
We examine the configurations, code, or infrastructure included in scope. Your team can address the findings, or SiegePal can implement remediation when agreed. Penetration test findings can then be retested, while longer-term engineering support is available through a separately agreed scope.
Questions California Buyers Ask
Does being in California decide which frameworks apply?
No. Whether HIPAA, SOC 2, or PCI DSS is relevant depends on the data you handle, your contracts, and your customers. Location alone does not settle it.
Can SiegePal fix the issues it finds?
Yes, when remediation is part of the agreed scope. Some engagements stop at an independent assessment and roadmap. Others continue into remediation, with SiegePal implementing the fixes directly.
How should we prepare for a penetration test?
Keep the environment in its normal operating state during testing. Scoping will also cover architecture documentation for the systems in scope, credentials for authenticated testing, and a named point of contact.
Talk Through Your Scope
A free 30-minute consultation covers your environment, your deadline, and the problem you need solved. If SiegePal is a good fit, you receive a proposal scoped to your systems. You can also see every location on our Locations We Serve page.
